We Believe

God.  We believe in one Triune God. He exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  Each person of God is co-eternal and co-equal in power and glory.

Jesus Christ.  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ (God the Son), born of a virgin, became man without ceasing to be God, with the purpose of revealing God and redeeming sinful men. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and shed his perfect blood on the cross.  Jesus Christ acted upon the will of His Father and not His own.

The Bible.  We believe that The Holy Bible is the preserved Word of God (written by man) divinely inspired and is perfect in its Heavenly instruction.  The sixty-six books of the Holy Bible reveal the principles by which God will judge us, and therefore is, and shall remain, the true center of Christian union and the supreme authority for all human conduct, creeds, and opinions.

The Holy Spirit.  We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person (one third of Triune God) who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement.  He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration of the believer, baptizing all who believe into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption.

Man.  We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and that all men are sinners by birth and by choice, and of themselves, unable to remedy their lost condition.

Salvation.  We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by the grace of God and received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.  In order to be saved, man must be born again. Salvation is a new birth (a new creation in Christ Jesus) that it is instantaneous and not a process.

Eternal Security.  We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power, sealed through the Holy Ghost, and thus secure in Jesus Christ forever.

The Church.  We believe that the church is the body and bride of Jesus Christ, made up of born-again believers.

We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free of any external authority or control. We recognize water baptism (immersion) and the Lord’s Supper as two Biblical ordinances for the church.

Missions.  We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group.  It is the will of the Father that no man should perish in his sin.  As ambassadors of Christ, we are to go to the foreign nations as God gives opportuniy.

Giving.  We believe that every Christian, as a steward of God’s wealth entrusted to them, is obligated to financially support their local church; for the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the gospel.  Our giving to God of tithes and offerings is a part of our worship to Him and must be done cheerfully and of a generous spirit.  (II Corinthians 9:6-15)

The Second Advent of Jesus Christ.  We believe in the personal, imminent return of Christ, wo will rapture His Church prior to the seven-year tribulation period.  At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally return with His saints to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom as promised to the nation of Israel.

The Eternal State of Man.  We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men: the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and eternal punishment.

Satan.  We believe that Satan is a created being, author of sin, and the cause of the Fall of Man.  Satan was kicked out of Heaven, by God, for his sin and is at enmity with God, man, and the church.

Creation.  We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24 hour, days.  I discount evolution and any “science” that is contradictory to scripture. All science should be compared to the truth of scripture, not vise-versa.

Marriage.  We believe marriage is between one man and one woman, only.  Sexual relationship is for one man and one woman who are married, only.  Any transgender, homosexual, bisexual, bestiality, fornications and adulteries are sin and not recognized in the Bible as legitimate forms of a relationship. We believe that marriage is a picture of Christ and His Church; God intends for marriage to last until the passing of a spouse.
